Act instead of complaining – with (solar) energy into the future!
Climate change, or more dramatically, the climate crisis, is on everyone’s lips. As a school, we address the interaction between humans and nature and what influence we as individuals have on it as part of our ESD (Education for Sustainable Development), RZG (Spaces, Times, Societies) and WAH (Economy, Work, Household) lessons.
This leaves some young people with a feeling of powerlessness – what can I do about rising sea levels, melting glaciers or increased drought disasters? Other young people are preoccupied with their own puberty and are looking for their place in the adult world; the climate crisis seems less important than personal consumption.
This is exactly where MYBLUEPLANET’s climate program comes in – we take action. We plan ESD projects and implement them at the OSW. In this way, we hopefully strengthen the young people in their self-efficacy on the one hand and in their sense of responsibility on the other, and enable them to approach the challenges of the future mindfully, step by step.
In addition to the educational offer, the OSW will also benefit from the technical know-how of MYBLUEPLANET. We will receive experienced support in the construction of the PV systems, familiar with the school environment.
Therefore we are looking forward to an ecologically, economically and educationally enormously valuable project!

«The topic of climate protection also occupies our children and sometimes triggers feelings of powerlessness. With the Climate School, the young people experience and work out in a practical and versatile way what they can actively contribute themselves to protect our planet. They thus experience themselves as effective and as an important part of our society. In my opinion, this is the best prerequisite for a hopeful future.»

«Photovoltaics on every roof must become a matter of course. The earlier students experience this, the better!»

«I am very pleased that this win-win-win project (education, environment, finance) can be realized at our school. The school administration has also set the topic of “sustainability” as a legislative goal and wants not only words, but above all sustainable actions to speak for themselves.»
Verena Dressler
/ President School Board OSW
«We must all pull together to promote renewable energies and phase out fossil fuels: The federal government, cantons, municipalities, schools and private individuals, small and large. So that we can use the freely available solar energy, slow down global warming and reduce our dependence on oil and gas producing countries.»
